Our Environment Council is a labour based volunteer organization, with members from various Unifor local unions across Toronto, York, Simcoe, Durham, Peterborough, Northhumberland, and the Kawartha Lakes regions.
Our Council works to improve the quality of the environments outside, in our homes, and at our workplaces. Our vision includes: supporting green energy initiatives, protecting ourselves from toxins, cleaning up our water, monitoring our food sources, and building sustainable economies, while ensuring our families remain healthy and happy.
We connect with our community by writing newsletter articles, holding social and educational events, giving us the opportunity to provide environmental education to our union's members and their families, while building relationships to sustain solidarity.

We draw on the vast knowledge and diverse experience of our membership to help safeguard what we love about Canada - a beautiful landscape, clean air, fresh water, good health, and great food!
